Establishment of a Highly Efficient Corn Stock-Degrading Microbial Consortium and Its Degradation Effect

چکیده

Corn stalks are not easily degradable and thus have a low utilization rate. In this paper, highly efficient corn stalk-degrading microbial consortium, designated as SDP, was established using the strains Z22 (Bacillus subtilis), Z15 megaterium), Z08 (Aspergillus tubingensis). Moreover, fermentation conditions for enzyme production by SDP were optimized through orthogonal experiments. The Van Soest method used to determine cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin contents in degraded consortium evaluate its degrading effect. Scanning electron microscopy analyze micromorphological structure changes of degradation effects on stalks. carboxymethyl cellulase activity reached 6.37 U/mL. effect optimal when culture follows: temperature, 30°C; time, 5 d; nitrogen source, NH4NO3; initial pH, 7.0. showed an improved ability degrade reduced 32.15%, 23.87%, 7.98%, respectively, after culturing 20 d. This study provides insights guide further research development consortia stalk degradation.

A novel microbial consortium from sheep compost for decolorization and degradation of Congo red

Congo red is a synthetic azo-dye dye with many industrial applications. The effluents containing azo dyes are causing several environmental hazards and thus should be treated prior to their discharge. The present work investigates the possible use of a novel microbial consortium from sheep compost for the decolorization of Congo red dye. The effect of different parameters including contact time...

A quantitative assay for linking microbial community function and structure of a naphthalene-degrading microbial consortium.

A comprehensive culture-independent assay, called Q-FAST, was developed for concurrent identification and quantification of active microorganisms involved a specific function in a given microbial community. The development of Q-FAST was achieved by integrating the concept of stable isotope probing technique into a new quantitative fingerprinting assay called real-time-t-RFLP for microbial commu...

Metagenomic and metaproteomic analyses of a corn stover-adapted microbial consortium EMSD5 reveal its taxonomic and enzymatic basis for degrading lignocellulose

BACKGROUND Microbial consortia represent promising candidates for aiding in the development of plant biomass conversion strategies for biofuel production. However, the interaction between different community members and the dynamics of enzyme complements during the lignocellulose deconstruction process remain poorly understood. We present here a comprehensive study on the community structure an...
